Product Description:

This power tool is specifically designed for making plunge cuts. The tool is also suitable for making rip and cross cuts in wood. When fitted with a standard circular saw blade, it can be used for sawing aluminium, plastic, thermosets and similar materials. The cordless plunge saw features a brushless motor, which ensures increased endurance, a longer service life, a more compact design and enhanced performance. The plunge circular saw features variable speed control, constant-speed electronics, soft start and overload protection to safeguard the motor. During operation, the circular saw utilises Automatic Torque Drive Technology, which automatically regulates the speed to achieve optimum performance depending on the task at hand. The plunge saw features quick-adjust angle settings for -1°, 22.5° and a quick-select option of 45° or 48° as the maximum tilt angle. The cutting point remains exactly the same for all angle settings. The scoring mode ensures a tear-free cut. Even at the maximum tilt angle, the DSP 600 does not tip off the guide rail. The saw is compatible with Makita guide rails. The Makita BL 1840 B 4 Ah battery offers maximum runtime for the same weight (compared to 3 Ah batteries). An additional advantage is the short charging time of just 36 minutes in the Makita charger. The battery offers maximum service life thanks to low self-discharge and protection against short circuits, overvoltage and overheating. Furthermore, the BL 1840 B features an LED charge level indicator for checking the remaining battery power. The Makita DC 18 RC is a rapid charger for 9.6–18-volt Li-ion batteries from Makita. The charger continuously monitors and regulates the voltage and temperature via an integrated microprocessor, thereby guaranteeing optimal charging cycles whilst also protecting the batteries through optimally controlled cooling airflow. The rapid charger charges Makita’s 18-volt battery generation extremely quickly, resulting in very short charging breaks and a seamless workflow, particularly when, for example, two batteries are available.
