Product description:
These bimetal hole saws from Ruko are perfect for cutting metal and wood. Best results are achieved in steel up to a material thickness of 5 mm. Their main areas of application are sanitary and electrical installations. The base body and cutting edges of the bimetal hole saw consist of two different tool steels (bimetal). The basic body is of HSSE-Co 8 made of a flexible special steel and the teeth, which are welded to the basic body. The fine toothing ensures that the hole saw does not get stuck in the workpiece and can be operated easily. Compared to carbide hole saws, bimetallic hole saws have more teeth for a cleaner cut. The 8% cobalt concentration ensures high hot hardness. This means that the tool steel does not lose its hardness at high temperatures. The fine toothing ensures smoother running, a better cutting pattern and less effort. For these two reasons (high hot hardness and clean cut), the HSSE-Co 8 bimetallic hole saw from Ruko is particularly suitable for metals such as unalloyed and alloyed steel (up to 5 mm) and even less so for soft materials. Coolant must be used when drilling in alloy steels. For softer materials, a cutting depth of up to 28 mm can be achieved.
